Coaching and feedback are about change

"Tell me the last time you changed your mind about something of significance."

A mentor of mine loves this question/statement. Why?

Because if you can't remember the last time you changed your mind about something...

You may have a pretty fixed mindset.

Which is fine.

To each their own.

But when it comes to coaching or providing feedback...

He isn't going to waste much of his time.

What's the point, if coaching and feedback are about change.
