Embrace criticism to build a company that wins
A lot of CEOs are ignoring important feedback.
And calling it something else:
"Negativity."
When people speak up and say:
- This idea won't work.
- There's something wrong.
- This direction isn't right.
There's a temptation to swat it down.
"We're looking for go-getters"
"I need people that can make it happen"
"I don't need negativity affecting the team"
But there's a big difference between...
A high performance and positive culture...
And one of "Yes-men" & "Yes-women."

You have to embrace criticism.
Which means embracing what may seem like negativity.
When I'm working with a business to figure out a problem...
I ALWAYS start with the CRITICS within.
There's almost always some gold in their criticism.
And it's the same criticism they've usually BEEN delivering.
There's obviously a right and wrong way to be a critic...
And we're not talking about embracing toxicity.
But if you have criticism from members of your team...
Consider embracing it like you would customer feedback.
Hearing what we don't want to hear is a discipline.
And makes for way smarter companies.
