Limiting your options can be the right choice

Being in business for yourself creates a lot of freedom.

But too much freedom can be hard: The paradox of choice.

So, last week I intentionally chose to limit my options...

Over the past couple years I've take some very diverse roles.

They've included CEO, CRO, CXO, CMO & COO contracts.

And most were pretty fun.

But I asked myself:

"When am I having the most fun?"
"When do I have the most energy?"
"What do I do better than anything else"

And, hands down, it's when I'm working with sales leadership.

Helping build badass sales organizations & cultures.

That's not to say the other functions and roles weren't great.

I love:
- leading operational improvements.
- developing organizational strategies.
- creating marketing strategies.
- building great customer service capabilities.

But the ONE thing I do exceptionally well...

And love doing most...

Is building phenomenal...
- Sales organizations.
- Sales leadership teams.
- And sales cultures.

So, for the rest of the year, I'll be focusing on doing more of that.

And candidly, LIMITING my options is somehow relieving.

Particularly since it's limiting me to what I do best.

When you have what seems like an infinite number of options..
